                                City tour Puerto Montt

Departure from the Hotel to the main square, stop to visit the Cathedral Church and the monument to the colonization, then along the waterfront we head towards the cove of Angelmó, and continue along the coastal road to Chiquihue, bordering the Tenglo Channel that separates the mainland from the island of the same name for 4 km.

In this tour we will pass by some small shipyards, marinas, soccer stadium, up to Naviera Skorpios, until in front of La Isla de los Curas, return by the same route, stop at the Artisan fair of Angelmó, to later continue through the old part of Puerto Montt to head towards the upper part of the city and stop at the Natural Viewpoint of the city, descend later passing in front of the regional Intendencia and arrive to the center where our hotel is located.

             

 

                            City Tour Puerto Montt/Puerto Varas

We will begin the tour in the center of the city, passing by the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Municipality, Monuments to the German Colonists, to access the Mirador, a natural balcony from which you can observe the Reloncaví Sine and the City. Then we will visit the neighborhood. Residential until arriving to the Costanera Avenue, where we will take the Ballu de Pelluco towards the east side. Then we will go to Chinquihue, we will visit La Caleta de Angelmó, of great scenic beauty, place to taste different dishes prepared with seafood. La Feira de Angelmó has a variety of handicrafts, highlighting wool fabrics and vegetable fibers. Later we will go to Puerto Varas, visiting the Philippi Hill, downtown, the Jesuit Church, located in front of the Llanquihue Lake, with a beautiful visit to the volcanoes and along the waterfront we will arrive to Puerto Chico, being this the residential neighborhood of Puerto Rods, then return to your hotel.

Departure from the Hotel along the waterfront that borders the Llanquihue Lake, continuing towards Petrohue, bordering for 46 km the south coast of the lake, until arriving to Ensenada, a small village located at the base of the Osorno Volcano, during the way you can appreciate the magnitude of the lake (877 km2), the Calbuco Volcano (2114 ms SNM), Osorno Volcano (2660 ms SNM).
Desde Ensenada, se toma el camino que conduce al Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales (ruta 225 internacional que lleva a Argentina vía lagos), visita a Los Saltos del Rio Petrohue, mas tarde se continua hasta llegar a orillas del Lago Todos los Santos, llamado también Esmeralda por el color de sus aguas, desde acá se pude observar la Sierra de Santo Domingo, el Rio Petrohue, El Lago de Todos los Santos y como telón de fondo, el cerro Puntiagudo y a la distancia el Cerro Tronador (3530 mts SNM) Hito que separa a Chile de Argentina.-

Departure from the Hotel in Puerto Montt, and we head towards Puerto Varas, stop at the Plaza de Armas, and continue along the coast of Lake Llanquihue (It has an area of 86,000 hectares, and is the third largest in South America), for 46 km. Towards Ensenada, passing through the towns of Rio Pescado, Los Riscos, Rio Blanco, from Ensenada we continue to enter the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, (the oldest in Chile, founded in 1956, has an area of 253,879 hectares and is part of the Biosphere Reserve Temperate Rainforests of the Southern Andes. ) After 14 Km. we will make a stop to visit the Petrohue River Falls, (formed by waterfalls between rocks of volcanic origin, optional entrance). Lake Todos los Santos and flows into the Reloncaví estuary, which in turn discharges its waters into Reloncaví sinus, later we continue for 6 Km. (secondary road) Arrival to Todos los Santos Lake This lake has been known by several names: Purailla, Pichilauquen, Quechocavi. In the field of tourist services it is also known as "Emerald Lake" due to the green hue of its waters. In reality, depending on cloud cover and weather conditions, the human eye and the camera perceive the lake as green, blue or silver; (time for a walk and if someone prefers to take an optional navigation on the lake) also called Esmeralda because of the color of its waters. Return to Ensenada for lunch.

After lunch we head towards the Osorno volcano, (2661 SNM) (17 Km. of ascent) arrival to the Bubble (ski center) and free time to enjoy the view that if the weather permits consists of the entire shore of Lake Llanquihue, Puerto Montt, Pacific Ocean, etc., we can use the cafeteria or take the chairlifts (optional) to continue climbing.

             

 

                                       Volcán Osorno

Departure from the Hotel we go along the coast of Lake Llanquihue (It has an area of 86,000 hectares, and is the third in South America), for 46 km towards Ensenada, passing through the towns of Rio Pescado, Los Riscos, Rio Blanco we headed towards the Osorno volcano, (2661 SNM) (17 km. Departure from your hotel in Puerto Varas at 09:30 hrs, to take the waterfront, and from here the route 225 that will take us along the Llanquihue Lake, to the town of Ensenada, passing through La Posa, Rio Pescado, Los Riscos. From Ensenada, after visiting the Laguna Verde, we take the road up to the Osorno volcano (2660 meters above sea level), which, if conditions permit, we can climb up to the volcano cafeteria at 1300 meters above sea level.

In this ski center we will be able to enjoy the different means that the place has, a 1500 meters long zip line, bike rides, trekking, chairlift ride, snowshoeing tour, snowcar, these services are not included in the price of the tour.

Departure from Puerto Montt and/or Puerto Varas, along the Panamerican Highway we will enter the city of Llanquihue, which means "Submerged Place". Small industrial city, with dairy, forestry, fishing, processing, and sausage or jerky factories. We will continue along a secondary road, bordering Lake Llanquihue to Totoral, where we will visit the "Usern Ahnen" Ancestor's Monument, and then we will take the road again to Frutillar. We will enter through Frutillar Bajo, which is a seaside resort where the German style buildings stand out. We will visit the German Colonial Museum, where 4 buildings stand out, replicas of the Colonial era, including a water mill, the blacksmith's house, the bell tower and the country house. Then we will have time for lunch.

In the afternoon free time to tour and visit the typical handicrafts, and then returning to Puerto Montt and / or Puerto Varas.

             

 

                City Tour Puerto Montt/Puerto Varas y Frutillar

We will begin the tour in the center of the city, by the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, City Hall, Monuments of the German Colonists, to access the Mirador, a natural balcony from which you can see the Reloncavi Sound and the city. Then we will visit the residential neighborhood until we reach the Costanera Avenue, where we will go to the east side, to the Pelluco Beach. Then we will go to Chinquihue, we will visit La Caleta de Angelmó, of great landscape attractiveness, place of tasting of varied dishes prepared with seafood. The Angelmó Fair has a variety of handicrafts, especially wool and vegetable fiber weavings. Later we will go to Puerto Varas visiting the Philippi Hill, downtown, the Jesuit Church, located in front of the Llanquihue Lake with a beautiful visit to the Volcanoes and along the waterfront we will arrive to Puerto Chico, being this the residential neighborhood of Puerto Varas.

Departure to the south to the big island of Chiloé.
This is a full day excursion where we will enjoy the northern part of the Isla Grande de Chiloé, (Last Spanish stronghold in Latin America, also famous for the number of elementary school teachers who have come out of this island since its first institutes of higher education were teacher training colleges, It is rich in Mythology, where the Jesuits had to do the same as in other Latin American countries that in order to convince their aborigines and integrate them to the Catholic teaching, associate their gods with the saints of the Church and still in the island continues in much of the population a mixture between the two cultures Catholic and pagan). - After 60 Km. of road from Puerto Montt we arrive to the locality of Pargua where we will take a ferry that will take us for half an hour to the Big Island of Chiloé, on arrival we visit the locality of Chacao of old constructions, later by a coastal road we go towards the called locality of Caulin also known as the sanctuary of the Birds since depending on the time of the year is the type of birds that we can observe in this place, (swans, flamingos, cormorants, etc.).

                          Full Day Puyehue (Aguas calientes)

Departure from the Hotel heading north, along the Panamerican Route 5, begins this trip to one of the most beautiful National Parks in the country. At the height of the city of Osorno take the international route 215 to Argentina, passing through Entre Lagos, bordering Lake Puyehue, until you reach the crossroads where we turn off to go to the hot springs of Aguas Calientes. A unique hot springs center with an evergreen landscape. After enjoying a thermal bath in the open air or indoors (not included), and touring the trails that this center has, we begin our return to Entre Lagos for lunch. After lunch, we begin our return by an inland route that takes us to Lake Rupanco, Puerto Octay, Frutillar Alto, to take route 5 again, which will lead us to Puerto Varas and our hotel. - Bring towels

         

 

                            Vuelta al lago c/ volcan Osorno

Departure from the city of Puerto Varas, along the northern highway to the city of Llanquihue, where the Maullín River rises. Llanquihue is an industrial city known for its delicious sausages and derivatives, as well as for the famous and delicious potatoes of the region.
Then, bordering the Llanquhue Lake to the city of Frutillar, cradle of the German colonization in the region, founded in the XIX century, it preserves its beautiful gardens, excellent typical gastronomy of the region and an important calendar of musical events to be held on the banks of the Lake. The Museum of the German Colonists is the highlight of the visit.
Continuing our trip, we will reach the Centinela Peninsula, Puerto Octay, all with a strong influence of German colonization. Continuing on, passing by Playa del Maitén, La Baja, Puerto Fonk, until we reach the town of Las Cascadas with beautiful beaches of fine sand and native flora.
From Puerto Varas we will appreciate the beautiful Osorno Volcano, as well as the Calbuco Volcano, Yetes, Puyehue, and some important and beautiful hills such as Cerro Tronador and Puntiagudo. From Las Cascada, we continue the trip to Ensenada. At this point there is a road up to the Osorno Volcano during the ascent we will have a panoramic view of the Petrohué River. Further on, from a viewpoint, we will see all the grandeur of Lake Llanquihué with its 875 square kilometers of surface. At the end of this ascent we will be at the La Bourja Ski Center and its bakery. From this location, you can take the cable car (optional) that will allow you a more complete view of the entire region. On the way back from our trip, enjoying the scenery, we will pass through the villages of Los Risco, La Posa, Rio Pescado arriving to Puerto Varas.

           

 

                                     Termas del Sol

Departure from Puerto Varas on Route 225 towards the Andes Mountains, bordering the Reloncaví Estuary until reaching Puelo, where the Termas del Sol hot springs are located. We will spend 4 hours enjoying the waters of the hot springs complex.
The return will be along the same route, but this time we will stop to visit the beautiful town of Cochamó, located on the shores of the Reloncaví Fiordo where its Chiloé church, its wooden houses and its beautiful waterfront.
