Day 01: SANTIAGO

Arrival to Santiago

Reception at airport and transfer to selected hotel for accommodations and breakfast.

 

Day 02: SANTIAGO - CONCHA Y TORO VINEYARD

Breakfast at your hotel.

Morning at leisure for personal activities.

In the afternoon, visit to the world famous Concha y Toro vineyard. Departure from your hotel towards the southern area of Santiago near the Andes and cross the Maipo River and arrive to the beautiful town of Pirque to visit the old original caves and grapes plantations of the world famous Concha y Toro Vineyard. Founded in 1883 for his owner Mr. Melchor de Concha y Toro this area is ideal for the production of the Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Semillón, Chardonnay, Carmenère and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that are used to produce the most traditional red wine of the country.
This vineyard used the most modern technology for its refrigeration equipment, stainless steel tanks, filters and casks made of American and French oak. There we will visit the private park of the family, the cellars and caves, among which is the legendary Casillero del Diablo wine.
Different wines will be tasted by passengers.
Return to hotel.

 

Day 03: SANTIAGO - COLCHAGUA VALLEY AND SANTA CRUZ

Breakfast at your hotel.

Very early departure from your hotel and transfer to Santa Cruz town, located 178 kms south from Santiago at the Colchagua Valley.
Departing from Santiago through the Panamerican Highway towards Santa Cruz Town located on the southern shores of the Tinguiririca river, and in the middle of the most important agricultural areas of Central Chile, crossing the countryside with a most fértile area that produces a great variety of agricultural products, and where several and famous an important Vineyards are located.

Arrival at Santa Cruz and accommodations at selected hotel for 02 nights and full board. (Menu basis)

After lunch (included) our first tour will take us to visit the VIU MANENT Vineyard, founded during the mid of the XIX Century producing wines for local consumption only. After 1966, with new owner, they started to sell its wines to other wineries of the area and finally in 1990, they started to bottle their wines and export them.

Viu Manent has an area of 150 hectares producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Merlot wine Straits.

Important updated thecnology for the wine production will be seen durig the visit to its main installations, ending with a Wine Tasting.

Day 04: SANTA CRUZ

Breakfast at your hotel.

Departure to start a visit to another Vineyard, the Santa Cruz Winery, located at the Lolol Valley, only 20 kms from the city, and entering again to the wine World, starting from the Terroir , the production Management and mainly to the wine process that originates their Premium wines such as Chaman Reserve, Chaman Grand Reserve and the delicious Tupu, of limited edition.

Later tour continues to the Funicular that will show a wonderful view of the valley and plantations arriving to the the area where replicas of Chilean ancient villages representing Mapuche, Rapa Nui and Aymara cultures are shown, describing also the importants links of this people with Nature, their rituals, beliefs and spiritual leaders such as de Machi, the Chaman, main inspiring ícons for the wine production of this Vineyard.
At the top of the hill, there is also an Astronomical Observatory Offered to special tours during the night to watch the stars.

Tour then continues visiting the Varidedades Garden , the Vintage Yard, Oak barrels area and wine cellars, where the Wine Tasting will be offered.

Diner at the hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure and enjoy the attractions of the city, Its Gambling Casino and/or rest.

Dinner at the hotel.

 

Day 05: SANTA CRUZ - SANTIAGO

Breakfast at your hotel.
The morning is devoted to visit the Colchagua Museum, located near the Main Square, and famous in South America showing a most extraordinary personal exhibition of the owner of the Museum, showing mainly the evolution of man with many samples of Paleontology.

Differents Pre-columbian Works , the History of Chile (Conquest, Colony, Independence, The Pacific War, etc), together with impressive Collection of ancient liturgical objects, handycrafts and Works, the Country life folklore aspects, and a wonderful Collection of original old carriages, restored by Experts and dating from 1870 and 1910.
Return to the hotel for Check out and return to Santiago.

Arrival in Santiago and accommodations at your selected hotel including breakfast.

 

Day 06: SANTIAGO

Breakfast at your hotel.

Transfer to the airport in time to board your next flight.
