CODE: GPA 13 DURATION: TEN HOURS INCLUIDES: Tour vehicle specialized driver/guide DESCRIPTION An a early departure from Arica, we make our way through the extensive desert, pampa of Chaca to enjoy and where we find Chiza escarpment to see the Chiza geoglyps, once again supporting the theory that pre-Hispanic peoples used the valleys as natural access routes to the coast. On the route to Iquique we find the Tiliviche Ravine and another well preserved panel of geoglyps that illustrates a herd of llamas. Soon after in Tilivilche we make a slight detour to visit the Atacama Giant, the largest geoglyph in northern of Chile with a height of 86 m. We pass a number of abandoned nitrate offices and visit Humberstone, a nitrate ghost town where it is possible to imagine a little of the splendor of this period of the Chilean history.
