EKA 005 06 Days – 05 nights Day 01: SANTIAGO Arrival, reception at airport and transfer to selected hotel for accommodations with breakfast
Day 02: SANTIAGO – CONCHA Y TORO VINEYARD Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, visit to the world famous Concha y Toro vineyard. Departure from your hotel towards the southern area of Santiago near the Andes and cross the Maipo River and arrive to the beautiful town of Pirque to visit the old original caves and grapes plantations of the world famous Concha y Toro Vineyard. Founded in 1883 for his owner Mr. Melchor de Concha y Toro this area is ideal for the production of the Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Semillón, Chardonnay, Carmenère and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that are used to produce the most traditional red wine of the country. This vineyard used the most modern technology for its refrigeration equipment, stainless steel tanks, filters and casks made of American and French oak. There we will visit the private park of the family, the cellars and caves, among which is the legendary Casillero del Diablo wine. Different wines will be tasted on pssengers account. Return to hotel.
Day 03: SANTIAGO – WINE ROUTE COLCHAGUA VALLEY – SANTA CRUZ Breakfast at hotel. This Day is devoted to the famous Chilean wine route, located 192 km south from Santiago in the Colchagua valley, including tour to 2 wineries with wines tasting of its main products. The tour stars with a visit to Viu Manet vineyard. Founded in the second half of the XIX century, this vineyard operates since 1966 and produces Chardonnay, Semillón, Malbec, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This vineyard used the most modern technology for its refrigeration equipment, stainless steel tanks, filters and casks made of American and French oak. There we will visit the vineyards, caves and the cellars. Different wines will be tasted. Tour then proceeds to the town of Santa Cruz for accommodations in Santa Cruz Plaza Hotel . All meals included. Lunch typical style and visit to the Colchagua Museum showing aspect of local, national and american culture. This museum is one of the most important private collections in all country. Dinner at hotel.
Day 04: SANTA CRUZ Breakfast at hotel. Departure in the morning for a complete visit to the Las Casas del Huique Museum, located 18 miles from the hotel and including a visit to the Casona Patronal, built in 1829 and a magnificent Chapel built in 1857, surrounded by pristine nature. After driving along extensive grape plantations, we will reach the Bisquert vineyard, located at 112 miles from Santa Cruz. The Bisquert vineyard operates since 1991 and produces 5 millions/lit. of Chardonnay, Chardonnay Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, beeing 80% of the total production imported to Europe and the United States of America. There we will a visit to the vineyards, caves and the cellars. Return to hotel (lunch incluid), day of leisure in Santa Cruz.
Day 05: SANTA CRUZ - SANTIAGO Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure. At noon , check out and return to Santiago. There is a posibility to make a stop in the route, to include a tour to the Santa Laura vineyard and including a visit to the vineyards, caves and the cellars. Different wines will be tasted. Tour continues to Santiago and your selected hotel. Arrive at hotel in Santiago and accommodations with breakfast..
Day 06: SANTIAGO Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport in time to board your next flight.
